Shane Parsons is a Sydney-based Director of Photography with over 10 years of industry experience. His feature work includes Life After Fighting, winner of the Best Fight Award at Vulture 2024, and the upcoming martial arts action feature Relentless. His webseries #vanlife was the third most awarded webseries of 2023, with Best Cinematography nominations at Sydney WebFest and Seriesland Bilbao.

Motion Control Operator

Shane has hands-on experience operating robotic motion-control arms in collaboration with D2 Motion, bringing technical precision to complex and repeatable camera moves. Working with motion-control rigs demands a unique blend of creative instinct and mechanical understanding — programming intricate paths, executing frame-perfect passes, and unlocking shots that simply aren't achievable any other way. It's a discipline that sits at the intersection of cinematography and engineering, and one that has expanded both the scope and ambition of his work on set.
